Leading lines

How long will it be before the Tories and Liberal Democrats on Birmingham City Council get their heads out of the sand and realise that their lunatic scheme for a Birmingham underground rail system is holding back campaigning for more money for an extended tram network through our city?

The Transport Select Committee has backed tram schemes and it appears that the existing line between Wolverhampton and Birmingham is getting busier and is gainingin reliability. The underground scheme falls as it can't deliver value for money, with the building costs predicted at ten times those of the surface scheme.
